Snow!

Hello all!
We understand there will be snow tomorrow. That’s okay! We’re still going! We will wait until tomorrow morning to determine if we will delay the competition.
However, we want everyone to stay safe tomorrow! If for any reason you do not feel able to come tomorrow, that is completely fine. We will not charge your registration.
Please stay safe and warm!

The Time Is Now!

Alright, folks!

The time has come for you all to join us, TODAY for the Worcester Classic Ballroom Competition! Some final notes:

Doors open at 8:00 AM

Free parking is available in the covered garage right next to the facility. Please use this address to get to the garage:

Please try to arrive at least 30 minutes before your event is scheduled to begin. We don’t want anyone to miss anything! And please be careful driving!

We will see you all very soon!

Final Schedule

We have a finalized schedule!

Doors Open: 8 AM
Smooth: 9 AM – 10:30 AM
Standard: 10:45 AM – 12:15 PM
Lunch!
Rhythm: 1:30 PM – 3:15 PM
Latin: 3:30 PM – 5 PM

Please note that breakdown of time is subject to change, given how quickly/slowly the events proceed. With that in mind, please plan to be ready to dance at least a half hour before your event is scheduled, to ensure you do not miss the first round!

Also, while we are not expecting snow, we do live in New England, and must therefore prepare for everything. If there is snow, Worcester Classic will still occur – everything will simply be pushed back one hour.

See you all very soon!

Housing!

With only two days left of regular registration, we wanted to appeal to all those teams who may feel they are too far away to attend our competition. Well never fear, housing is here!

Housing is available both the night before and the night of the competition at WPI and Clark University. Just fill out the following form to request it!

And remember, regular registration ends tomorrow, Jan 26th!

Why us?

As winter break comes to a close, we want to send out a reminder to register for the upcoming Worcester Classic Ballroom Competition! You may be asking, why this competition? Well, here are just some of the many reason why you are going to want to attend Worcester Classic this year:
Worcester is a hidden gem in Massachusetts with a thriving dance scene. With thirteen local colleges and universities, Worcester’s ballroom community is alive and well! Conveniently located halfway between Boston and Providence, we are extremely accessible to all teams from those areas.
Our competition is hosted in the lovely WPI Sports and Recreation Center. The center’s beautiful open space complete with wooden floors and lots of natural lighting will make you shine on the competition floor! Dance studios are available for practice, with callbacks broadcasted so you’ll never miss a number.
Worried about where to park? Don’t be! We offer free parking in WPI’s covered garage located directly next to the venue! We also have many options for food nearby, so you won’t need to stress about where to get your lunch! And if necessary, we even offer housing for the night before the competition!
Last but not least, we are offering something very special this year. Double registration is allowed for ALL levels, so if you’re in the process of transitioning to a new level, our competition will be an excellent opportunity to test out the waters. Of course, we ask that you use your best judgement and to be considerate in terms of registration. Be sure to visit our rules page for more information, or email us with any questions!
So, have we convinced you yet? If so, head on over to registration! After all, there are only a few days left to get our early discount! As always, please don’t hesitate to email us at worcesterclassicballroom@gmail.com — we welcome any and all questions.
Enjoy the rest of break!
